For families to explore the local trails. Here are some rides which can be reached from our shop and are suitable for all ages and abilities, fun for all the family, nice landscapes and points of interest along the way.
Langsett Reservoir is situated off the A616 Manchester road also known as the Stocksbridge bypass. There is a car park just off the main road which is the start point for the cycle and walking routes around the reservoir. It is ideal for all ages and abilities and encompasses some of the best views and landscapes in the area with a mixture of woodland and moorland.
Dunford Bridge is easily accessible from our shop in Penistone. Simply follow the trail from outside the shop and within 40 minutes you will be soaking in the beautiful views of this historic Reservoir. No road riding is necessary, you can simply stay on the cycle path and follow it all the way which is ideal for families.
Trans Pennine Trail
The Trans Penine Trail can be joined at many different points throughout Yorkshire including outside our shop in Penistone. It provides a safe riding environment for children and families and no road crossing or riding is necessary. Whether you are after a short afternoon ride or a full weeks coast to coast adventure, the trail can cater for all your needs.
Surrounding Penistone, Millhouse Green, Thurlstone, Silkstone, Oxspring, Glossop and Wortley there are an abundance of cycle paths and trails. Go explore and you will be sure to have a fun packed day riding. Check out the Trans Penine Trail website for detailed route maps and advice.
